Newborn Must-Haves & Favorites
Hi mommas! I know it can be overwhelming to know what is good or not when you are trying to pick out things for your new baby, especially if you are a first time mom! Here is our list of things we love and use nearly every single day or used at one point during the newborn phase! If you click on the name of the item, I linked them all for you! Sleep Favorites
we LOVE this sound machine, we bring it with us when we are out and about and we have it in her room and our room for naps//bedtime! I feel like she prefers it over the hatch!
This thing is legit magic, she LOVES it and calms down within seconds of hearing the shushing sound. We need another one haha! Only downfall is that it is battery-operated!
I swear this is the reason why she sleeps so well! Prior to using the weighted swaddle, she wouldn’t sleep in her bassinet & she needed to be held for every nap and I was sleeping in a recliner with her (very unsafe but I was legit so sleep deprived and desperate for my baby to sleep). This thing is magic, the swaddle is so strong she doesn’t break out of it and the weighted aspect keeps her so calm! She used to wake up every 1.5-2 hours but now we get 6-7.5 hour stretches at night now with this!
We have this in her crib and her mini crib and we love it, she sleeps SO well on it, it is SO comfy and also gives us peace of mind since it is breathable yet still firm for safe sleep!

This is the mini crib we bought to transition her out of her bassinet! So easy to put together!
We used this prior to the weighted swaddle before she hit 8 lbs! It is a really good swaddle to use, I liked it way better than the halo & swaddle me swaddles!
The only pacifier she will use, we have tried SO many!
Playtime Favorites
If there is one “playtime” item I would recommend it would be the Lovevery playmat/play kits! They are amazing and she LOVES them! I feel like they are so great for hitting developmental milestones as well. We do tummy time on the playmat and she loves looking at the contrast cards and holding onto the little toys!
Great way to keep your baby busy if you need to get stuff done, highly recommend getting the toy attachment for them because it occupies them more with it than it does without it! Especially when they are little and can’t really bounce themselves.
Marlow LOVES this toy attachment on her bouncer, she could stare at it for hours if we let her! She also kicks and tries to grab the attachments!
It is hard for babies to do tummy time directly on their belly so we try to use the boppy for a little assistance and it helps SO much! I get covers for this on Etsy!
My absolute favorite way to hold her while getting stuff done! I never understood the baby wearing hype until I tried this. She loves it too because she’s comfy and close to me! Within 5 minutes shes passed out in it! We go for walks in it during the witching hour and it is the only way she will calm down! 10/10 recommend! I got the XS-L size – I wish I would have gotten the bigger size so Zach could also wear it!
Feeding Favorites
So comfy for both you and baby for feedings!
The only bottle she will take – we started with premie nipples for the slowest flow and now she uses level 1! Lots of parts but worth it!
You can never have enough of these!
Health/Wellness Favorites
Great for giving babies medicine or gripe water for hiccups! We have 3 of them because we use them so much for gripe water lol!
The best for getting rid of hiccups!
Helps with digestion & gas!
Good to give breastfed babies!
Helps with gas pains!
Helps with oral pain – we used after her tongue & lip tie revisions!
Take your finger and dissolve 2 tabs on their tongue or inside of their cheek for oral pain – we used after her tongue and lip tie revisions!
Great for getting snot outta your babies nose!

Bathtime Favorites
This tub is amazing and fits perfectly in our sink, making bathtime a breeze!
We use these to give her swaddle baths – keeps her much warmer and she doesn’t freak out compared to when we used to do them without wrapping her in them. She LOVES the bath now!

This and the mustela water worked MAGIC on my baby’s baby acne – the only two things that helped, it’s amazing! A little bit goes a LONG way, I swear my tub will last me 5 years lol!

Car/Stroller Favorites
I definitely understand the hype, this makes our lives SO much easier when out running errands so we don’t have to bring an additional stroller! It is worth every penny! We probably wouldn’t use for long road trips because the safety rating isn’t the greatest but for short trips or running errands it is SO convenient!
The nicest car seat, quality is unreal & it is SO light! Super easy to install too!
Also very worth the hype, we use this SO often to go on walks! It is such a smooth ride & we love the bassinet feature! It also has nice storage on the bottom too! Comes with the bassinet and regular stroller attachment, we still use the bassinet attachment since she is still small!
Clothing Favorites
These three brands are our favorite for buying footies! They are bamboo, high quality, super stretchy and cozy! 90% of the time, Marlow is wearing a footie PJ set because they are comfy for her and easy for us when you feel like you are constantly changing diapers lol!
